The department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) is recognized for its high quality of education and provides state of the art computing facilities to the students. Students have the opportunity to truly reach to their fullest potential. Our students collaborate to solve real-world problems on a daily basis and can take the lessons learned in the classroom with them for career employment.

The department has low student-faculty ratio and students are having excellent interaction with dedicated faculty members.

We have collaborations with vibrant national computer companies. We promote active industry-institute collaboration by identifying areas of interest and taking part in sponsored research projects and consultancy services.

Mission

Our Mission is to Educate and Train Computer Science Engineering Students to enable them to face the Global competition and to install high patterns of Discipline & Ethics with the help of State of the Art Infrastructure, Committed & Involved Management and Dedicated Faculty Members.

Course Objectives

On completion of 4 years of engineering the students will be able to:

1.)    An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics science to Computer Engineering.

2.)    An ability to design algorithms and develop computer programs,  as well as to analyze and interpret data.

3.)    An ability to design a software architecture  to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social,  ethical and sustainability.

4.)    An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.

5.)    An ability to identify, formulate, and solve Computer Engineering problems.

6.)    An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.

7.)    An ability to communicate effectively.

8.)    The broad education necessary to understand the impact of Computer Engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context.

9.)    Recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life – long learning.

10.) Knowledge of contemporary issues.

11.) An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern Computer Engineering tools necessary for Computer Engineering practice.

HCL K2 ACADEMY

At HCL K2 Academy the students will be given training on contemporary technologies, projects, and industry exposure through principal workshops by Microsoft, Oracle and Red hat and an opportunity of internship at HCL & other associate companies. GGITM provides the necessary infrastructure for the courses with recommendations from HCL. Qualifying students at the end of curriculum will be awarded a certificate and performance based placement assistance.

ZENSAR – Centre of Excellence

Zensar Technologies is a globally focused software and services company spread across eighteen countries across the world. It is a CMMI Level-5 Company with head office at Pune.

GGITM, Bhopal has signed MOU with Zensar Technologies for recruiting students and train them. In the second year of BE, Zensar visits campus under Centre of Excellence tie-up and select around 20-25 students. These students then undergo regressive training for next three years by software professionals of Zensar and in the final year are absorbed by the company itself. These students have an added advantage that they are considered to be equivalent to 2 years experience professionals and get the package accordingly.

Scope of Employment

After completing the four year graduation course the students will have ample of opportunities to get placed in various software development firms, software consultancies, for IT officers in Private and Public Banks and in many Governments organizations.
